Monastery Coffee = Ethics, Transparency and Traceability in Coffee

Allways Coffee Release 008 by Monastery Coffee

Let's start with an introduction to the roaster for this forntnights release -  Monastery Coffee. Monastery are a small Wholesale and Retail Roastery based in Adelaide, SA. They may hail from a small Australian city but they could be compared to some on a global scale for their important values. When it comes to the sourcing of their green or raw coffee beans ethical purchasing practices, transparency to the end consumer is of the utmost importance. To take the words right from their mouth....
"We believe in an economically sustainable supply chain, wherein everybody from the consumer to the farmer is empowered. To that end we only roast coffee beans that are sourced in an ethical, transparent and responsible manner. We go to lengths to ensure all players in the supply chain are remunerated fairly and have access to the same knowledge - most pertinently those in producing countries, who are currently benefiting the least from trade and simultaneously bearing the most risk."
